Do carbs make you fat?
According to this infographic, they sure do.
Have you noticed? The more low fat diets are promoted – and followed – the fatter our population gets! It can’t be explained solely by inactivity, as many dieters are working out to exhaustion.
The low fat theory is misinformation, based on a poorly done study by Dr. Ancel Keys in 1953. Keys based his theory on a study of six countries, which had both higher saturated fat intake and higher rates of heart disease. However, he conveniently ignored data from 16 other countries that did not fit his theory. Bad science!

- Eating fat doesn’t make you fat. It’s the insulin cycle, triggered by eating carbs.
- Easily digestible carbs like refined flour, soda, and potatoes are the worst offenders.
- For weight loss, a low carb diet is a lot more effective than a low fat, high carb one.
