Why Grass Fed Beef? [video]

Why Grass Fed Beef? Wondering why grass fed beef is better than factory-farmed, grocery store beef?

I’ll bring you the health benefits in a future article. But what of the cows? Inhumane treatment is the order of the day at factory farms. If you have a strong stomach, watch this video.

Why Grass Fed Beef?

Now you may be wondering where to buy grass fed beef! I’ve had terrific experience with U.S. Wellness Meats. They ship the frozen beef cuts directly to you for a $7.50 handling charge. (Fresh chilled beef is also available). Order minimum is $75, but you save more if you order 40 pounds – they’ll take $25 off your order. I’ve been ordering from them for years and have always been pleased with their service, and the grass fed beef is delicious. Check them out! (aff link)

  1. Ola! Lulu Nograiner,
Along the same lines,, i know that a majority of beef cattle eat hay and legumes for the first couple months of their lives then eventually eat more grains to get them up to weight. i am wondering how does a good grass-fed beef compare to a grain fed that is in the store–anyone tried it?
    All the Best

    • Hi Nic!
Grass-fed tends to have less fat, so you need to be careful not to overcook. And the fats are the good kind, with CLA and Omega 3.

      Thanks for visiting!

  2. Hey Lulu Nograiner,
This question may be a little off-topic, When I went to Hawaii I could get a grass fed burger in a ton of places and they barely have land.
I look forward to your next post
